THANKSGIVING FUN FACTS, BLACK FRIDAY, SMALL BUSINESS SATURDAY AND CYBER MONDAY!
This year has just flown by. We promoted 2 new offices in AZ and have several more on deck for 2019! Thanksgiving is the time of year to gather with friends and family and be thankful for things we have and have accomplished over the year. We all have different traditions and different foods we look forward to, we all have family and friends we haven’t seen in a while and it’s nice to catch up. The actual first Thanksgiving was really an autumn harvest celebrated with the Plymouth colonist and the Wampanoag Indians. They kept the tradition going for many years and Abraham Lincoln officially declared it a holiday during the Civil War.
Here are 10 fun Facts about Turkey day:
- The first Thanksgiving lasted three days
- Lobster, rabbit, chicken, fish, squashes, beans, chestnuts, hickory nuts, onions, leeks, dried fruits, maple syrup and honey, radishes, cabbage, carrots, eggs, and goat cheese are thought to have made up the first Thanksgiving feast.
- The pilgrims didn’t use forks; they ate with spoons, knives, and their fingers.
- Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the national bird
- Turkey has more protein than beef or chicken
- Only male turkeys gobble while hens make a clucking sound
- Fully grown turkeys have 3,500 feathers
- Commercially raised turkeys cannot fly
- Turkeys have heart attacks
- The heaviest turkey was 86 pounds
So this week you should be promoting Black Friday Deals every day! This is the best time of year for sales at All Star Motivation.
