Negativity! Aggggggg!!!!! Get those thoughts out of your mind. Negative thoughts, people, surroundings can be detrimental to your success. It’s all around us. You have to navigate yourself to stay positive, but, what do you do if you find your own mind is working against you? Your Mind Blocks can be your biggest obstacles if you can’t stay out of your own head.
These are 10 “Mind Blocks” That keep you from the success you deserve.
- Compulsions
- False self
- Fear (and other bad emotions)
- Immaturity
- Dependence
- Being a “human doing” (someone who only feels good about themselves when they are accomplishing things)
- Self-sabotage
- Unhappiness
- Victimhood
- The past
Think about the role that mind blocks play in your life. They scare you, inhibit you, numb you, and limit you. Wouldn’t it be great to free yourself from these restraints? Okay, that might not be possible because you’re human and mind blocks are just a part of being human, but wouldn’t it be great to be on a life path that is predominantly free of mind blocks rather than dominated by them? That is a worthy goal indeed.
How do you overcome them. Simple. Understand that the only thing stopping you from success is you. It starts with the simple task of taking control of your state of mind. What do you want to accomplish today. This hour, this half hour, the next 10 minutes. Then move forward. It also helps to focus on the present. Keep your mind out of what you could not control yesterday or a few hours ago. It can’t be changed. Right now, I can focus on what I need to get done. Then go do it.
The biggest thing you can do to avoid these mind blocks is to reprogram your brain. Write down exactly what you are thinking and feeling, what you want to accomplish now, tomorrow or next week, just focus on the small things, then write down some affirming words of encouragement to motivate yourself. When you have these “mind blockers”, practice going to your paper and replacing them with your empowering beliefs.

You have it in you to step out of your negative thinking, you have to “come to your senses”, redirect your attention and thoughts to the task at hand to give you focus to your actual perceptions. Even say the negativity out loud, or write it down and then tear it up and though it away, treat it like the trash it is.
